NEW DELHI: West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee on Tuesday said that he regretted his statement where he mentioned that the opposition had been paid back in the same coin in Nandigram. Bhattacharjee, who is in Delhi to attend the two-day CPM Politburo meeting, also clarified his stand on Taslima Nasreen issue saying that it is the MEA's prerogative to decide where the controversial writes needs to be kept. The West Bengal CM also glossed upon the fact that there was no communal polarization in the state. Bhattacharjee had met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday and briefed him about the situation in Nandigram and other developments in the state in the past few months. The Nandigram issue also figured during the 30-minute meeting between the two leaders.
